Not only did you take great care in providing an accurate quote, you took the time to understand what was important to us so that both the finished product and building process were personalised. We were pleasantly surprised by the level of communication that helped us avoid major variation surprises and consistently allowed us to easily make decisions to either save money or improve the outcome. Open, honest and clear in their communication. From the beginning, Tom was on the ball with our project. Being our first renovation in Australia we didn’t know what to expect, but Tom was completely open, honest and clear in his communication from the outset. He advised, suggested and reviewed anything we asked of him. Nothing was too much trouble. Throughout the build we were kept informed of progress daily and also received weekly status reports whereby Tom would also outline the activity that was in plan for the following week. At no point did we feel we didn’t know what was happening and at what stage we were at in the plan. Tom is a very proactive project manager but you can’t plan for everything and any changes we made were handled professionally and the original plan amended to incorporate these changes.

Dear Tom, Let me say at the outset that Sue and I unhesitatingly recommend you to any potential clients or employers. Building a new house is a daunting undertaking for most of us. It is a very large project with a lot at stake and well outside our usual life experiences so we look to our builder to guide us through it. In every sense we saw this build as a partnership - with the builder being the key player. They must balance the practical and emotional needs of the client with the professional demands of the architect against the realities of budget, practicality and time. So for our building partner we were looking for honesty and integrity, transparency, creativity and flexibility to underpin overall technical ability and professionalism.
